The Cascina owes its name to the two sanctuaries of San Michele di Mezzo and Cima, two sacred places of great importance for the micaelico cult.

The two sanctuaries are located on the slopes and on the summit of Pizzo San Michele, the mountain of 1,567 m above sea level, the Picentini mountain range, which dominates the Irno Valley.

Cascina San Michele is located very close to the freeway exit of Fisciano, just 15 minutes away from the city of Salerno, in an ideal position for the most varied needs. At the foot of the Picentini mountains, near the sea of the Gulf of Salerno and the major centers of interest in the area, such as the University of Salerno, the structure is suitable for hosting stays of relaxation, tourism, nature, culture, study and work.
