Description
When we talk about Amalfi we immediately think about the sea or the famous cathedral, but few people know the Valle delle Ferriere, a natural reserve. The name derives from the ruins of ironworks of medieval origin that can be found along the way.
The path inside the reserve leads from the Lattari Park to Amalfi, crossing woods and streams. You can dip your feet in the waters of the river and discover the history through disused mills that were used for the production of the famous Amalfi paper. Before reaching Amalfi, you may be surprised by the scent of lemons that can be smelled from afar. And so, we will stop at the organic farm “Fore Porta”, where they have been lovingly cultivating lemon trees for years and we will taste their typical lemon products.
