Ancient ways and forgotten rites.
The tour starts from Fisciano in the Monti Picentini Park from the Sanctuary of San Michele di Mezzo, a place that in the Norman period gave refuge to Pope Gregory VII. The Sanctuary dates back to around the year 1000 and inside there is a cave of karstic origin dug into the rock, the oldest place dedicated to the cult of the Archangel Michael. From this place starts a path that reaches Montoro the Sanctuary of Incoronata dating back to the Longobard period. During the path it will be possible to dedicate oneself to the recognition and collection of edible wild plants. After the tour we’ll reach Mamma Anna’s kitchen where we’ll be able to use the freshly picked plants in the preparation of different recipes that we’ll taste during the lunch of the day, savoring other local products.
